At WOHF, we refuse to let poverty daunt us. The scale of global poverty is enormous – the World Bank estimates that 736 million people live in extreme poverty1. However our mission is to tackle this, one child, one family, one community at a time – because doing nothing just isn’t an option.
For nearly 5 years, we have pioneered initiatives supporting vulnerable children and young people in Uganda, through education, vocational training, feeding and welfare care.
Working closely with local leaders, we deliver effective long-term solutions, leading to independence and self-sufficiency.
We are not willing to do nothing in the face of global poverty. We know we can’t do everything. With your help, we can do something transformative.

How we do it?
Encouraging, Supporting and Partnering with People Living in Extreme Poverty in Uganda. Reaching the poor, disadvantaged, and vulnerable in the unreachable and remote areas of Uganda
Health Care
Access to a health services means a young mothers can have thier babies immunized to prevent them from becoming ill, and that the occurrence of malaria drops 253% in one year. This success is due to the public health initiatives by our clinic staff.
Education
When girls and children thrive, a country thrives. Women are central to the health of families and communities. Each year of primary education that a girl or any other children receives lowers the rate of infant mortality and improves thier earning capacity (up to 20%).
Entrepreneurship and Livelihoods Development
Our programs are designed to help end poverty, improve nutrition and food security and promote sustainable agriculture. Ultimately, ELD Projects are designed to promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth for our partners.
